Rainbow Therapeutic Riding Center, located in Haymarket, Virginia, uses equine assisted therapy to improve the lives of people living with disabilities. After years of website neglect, Jennifer Grizzard Ekzarkhov came on board to design and build a website that reflects the enthusiasm and care the organization puts into their work. Jennifer did a competitor review and conducted interviews with staff, board and clients to determine what was most needed from their web presence. The audit process also revealed a real need to refresh and document Rainbow’s visual identity.

Using information gathered in the audit and working from Rainbow’s existing visual identity, Jennifer gave everything a gentle refresh. The result was familiar but contemporary logo, color palette, and brand fonts. In addition to those updates, Jennifer also created a brand guide that set down graphic rules and standards, something Rainbow had never had at their disposal.

With a new visual identity established, and working with a professional photographer, Jennifer created a web design that reflects key brand elements for Rainbow—both the fun and serious intent they bring to their work. The website’s written content was overhauled as well, reinforcing important messages and creating clear calls to action. The result is a clean, organized and useful site that drives engagement and donations, improves internal communications, and better represents the organization as a whole.
